While the course is primarily for drivers, spectators will also be welcome. An open air pavilion is planned with food concessions, gift shops and restrooms. In addition to pavilion facilities, restrooms will be located at several locations (oasis) around the track. An oasis will consist of bathrooms, foul weather protection, shaded picnic tables, and refreshment stands operated by local fund raising associations. They will be located on a continuous path in and around the course that can be reached by walking, bicycling, bicycle rentals or golf cart rentals.
Great attention will be paid to landscaping and tree planting to provide shade and vantage points for onlookers. A number of camp grounds are planned, each with showers, restrooms, swimming pools and cabanas. Several sites have been set aside for motels and complementing businesses, all adjoining the course. With camp grounds and motels in Worthington, nearby Spirit Lake / Okoboji, Sioux Falls, South Dakota and other nearby towns, there should be plenty of room for everyone. |
